Teddy's Barbecue

First time eating here. Service was nice and helpful. Temp indoor was a bit muggy I recommend sitting next to a fan. FOOD brisket definitely would ask for the moist brisket had the lean and it was dry and had to put sauce to make it moist. The sausage with cheese and jalapeno was good. The cheese was melting on the inside. The sausage ends were a bit tough and dry. Pork ribs were tasty and the seasoning had flavor not too overpowering. SIDES Mac and cheese was good not watery like other places, it did have flavor. Cream corn was good and not watery like other places. It would be nice if the simple sides pickles, onion and jalapenos were bigger portions.

We visited, and we're so surprised and satisfied with the food. Best barbecue we've had. No wonder they are the top 50. We highly recommend it. We tried the moist brisket, pork belly sliced, jalapeno cheese sausage, sides creamed corn, loaded mashed potatoes, corn bread, and for dessert banana 🍌 pudding delicious very light. We will be back again. Hidden gem 💎.

This was our first visit but it won't be our last. I had the moist brisket plate. It was the most tender, flavorful, and amazing piece of meat I've had in Weslaco. The sides included creamed corn and smoked macaroni and cheese both really good. She had the rib plate, huge and well seasoned. So big that she couldn't eat all of her sides. The place is not fancy but the food and service is great 😋

Hidden gem in the heart of Weslaco. It was a little hard to figure out where to go when we got there. Wasn't sure if it was outside seating only or dine in. Wife sent me on a recon mission and bamm I found the inside seating. Made our way and we're immediately greeted. Very cozy atmosphere with great staff. Temperature was comfortable.They have a great menu with daily specials. We decided to try the Texas Size Chicken Fried Steak...it came with two sides and a roll. Sides were ok. The loaded mash was not layered, it had everything mixed in which gave it a very strong sour cream taste. The Mac & cheese was cheesy but didn't taste like cheese. The roll had a very greasy taste to it. Chicken fried steak was pretty good. Very well battered. In comparison to a cut of meat with lots of fried batter around the edges. We ran into quit a few nerves but other than that, pretty good. Recommended asking for the gravy on the side. It was a little to sweet for our preference. We'll definitely give it another try but now we know what to look for.
